Seriously..... I don't know if I've ever had more "owies" with my older two boys combined compared to Boston's list of "accidents"!! I guess that's just because he thinks he's older than 5 and can do everything the older boys do! This is his latest battle wound.... I know.... looks pretty awful! I'm sure social services is ready to come talk to me any minute! In this most recent occurrence, Boston had a little "set to" with the patio. Trust me, he did not come out victorious on this one! He hardly ever cries so when I heard him crying, I ran outside and sure enough, he had slipped on the back patio and this was the result. It bled just a little but no stitches were required! (Good thing, because the last time he had stitches, Mom ended up passing out and woke up on the examination table herself!) Lordy! What's next with this kid? Good thing he is tough.... He had school the next day and told me he was going to tell the girls at school that he "got in a fight"! Ms. Terry was thrilled with that little tidbit, I'm sure!
Well, I suppose these kinds of things go along with raising three boys! I ought to be used to it by now but it still tears my heart out to see my kids get hurt! Boston~ you are such a trooper! Now, just be more careful next time!!! (Yah, right!)

Oh shoot! I'm also a pansy when it comes to stitches, blood and hospitals in general. Doesn't work out great with my husband's job but oh well, he'll just have to spare me the details of his work! Bos, you're a tough cookie. Can't wait to see you all this weekend! Maybe we'll survive the trip with no stitches between Park and Bos...we can hope right? :) loves, Jes
Boston is so tough! I for sure would've been bawling if I had done that. I, too, am a freakin' wimp when it comes to stitches. Yeah... remember when I passed out in the hospital when I was tending Skyler Chambers? We had to take him to the hospital and as they were poking and prodding around in his owie on his head, I just couldn't take it and passed out. It was very humiliating to have to have Skyler himself push me to the car in a wheelchair! Good times!
Ok, so I gasped out loud when I saw the picture!! Poor Bos! It had me remembering your "passing out" episode as well, so I laughed when you mentioned it. You, my dear, have probably gotten off easy with your older two. I predict that this will definitely NOT be the last of seeing Boston's owies on your blog. He's so dang cute.
Hi Jen -
Well, since we didn't have boys in our fam - I may have missed a lot of the stitches and owies!!! Seems like we had our share - But Bos does seem to be a little accident prone!! Glad they didn't have to use a needle and thread. Loves --
