As many of you know, there's nothing I'd rather do than watch a ballgame!! Especially when my kids are playing!! I don't know.... it just runs in the family, I guess! My mom said I went to my first ballgame when I was 3 days old (on the way home from the hospital) so I guess it's been in my blood a LONG time!!
Grif has been playing competitive baseball for 4 years now. He is on a great little team this year called "HitStreak". (That is the company that is sponsoring them, hence the name!) There are some great kids on the team and Grif has really gotten to know them well. They have great coaches and have made great strides this season already. They play one league game a week and tournaments on the weekends. We've travelled to Colorado Springs, Brighton, Broomfield and next month we go to Omaha Nebraska! The kids love playing together and the parents are a blast too! That makes a big difference considering the amount of time you spend with each other!!
Grif plays 2nd base, left field and pitcher. At this age, there are MANY pitchers on each team! It is hard for those 10 year olds to throw 46 feet to home plate! But Grif has done well with pitching and hitting both. He has had a couple of triples this year and is still holding out for that homerun! Keep at it Grif... you're on your way!

Congratulations Grif!!! Jeni, your kids are all such studs. I guess THAT runs in the family, too. Good luck on a SUCCESSFUL season, Grif. I just know that the homerun is not too far away :)
Oh my heavens! He is SO tall and grown up. It has been WAY too long since I've seen you guys. You need to get over here immediately. Grif is such a little all-star. Man, what a great athlete.

We just love reading about your games, Grif. Your Mom does a great job keeping us posted. Sometimes we sit and wait for the next test to come in and my stomach is in knots. Oh I am totally in love with Grif!! He is so adorable!! How fun for you guys to be so involved. I would love to see him play. I bet he is definately the star!! Loves!!
